Egg Shaped Plate Vesna. The painting of the item is inspired by the ornamentation of Ukrainian Easter eggs ‘pysanky’ and the wall painting from the Horodetske village, Uman povit, 1907-1909. Traditional festive aesthetics is reinterpreted in an abstract, naïve manner of the GUNIA Project design. Hand-painted. 

In Ukrainian tradition, Easter is known as Velykden (The Great Day) and is a significant holiday. It involves church services, special Easter meals, and the creation of decorated eggs called Pysanky. The word "Vesna" (spring) is often associated with Easter in Ukraine, as it marks the beginning of spring and new life.
