Oiseaux de la Forêt" presents true-to-life reproductions of cute little birds on the cream-colored faience. Faience is a fine, porous kind of ceramics which is covered in a glaze. This represents a thousand-year-old art of porcelain manufacturing which was taken up by the Gien factory in the year 1821.
