The table you are looking at has an interesting story. This wood top is reclaimed teak wood (see certification from the under-side of the table) and does have a textured top (it is not smooth, there is a natural, sealed and finished wood grain).
Their Central Java, Indonesia manufacturing factory is most likely where this table was produced. FSC has information on responsible use of forest resources on their site if you are interested. The company sources and produces in regional locations around the world with a focus on sustainability and reclamation.
