Seak is an MIT-based startup bringing Southeast Asian artisans to the global stage. We curate artisanal brands from Thailand and the Philippines that align with our values: small-batch, eco-material, handmade, women-owned. Seak's founders, Nicha (Thai) and Gabby (Filipino), both grew up in Southeast Asia. We love the thrill of finding a hidden gem in local markets: whether it’s a high-quality rattan dresser or a woven raffia placemat, we know that Southeast Asian products have excellent craftsmanship at great prices. When we met at MIT, we started discussing these issues and how we can bring Southeast Asian brands to the global stage through technology.
